'You can't handle the truth'

The Indians/Guardians became a staple in my household before I learned to read. I am talking about watching games on channel 43. Back when Warrner Bros had Michigan J. Frog, as their main attraction. Throughout those years, eventually I gained a love for the Cavs and the Browns, completing the trio of misfits of my preferred professional sports teams. I think you would agree that I am a credible source when it comes to Cleveland letdowns. Therefore, sharing my sources is a privilege to my readers. I happily bring to you my top three, starting with Bleacher report.

Bleacher report makes my list because of the sheer variety of content on their app. I created a profile which gives you the opportunity to post and comment with their writers and the other fans. There must be three or four new articles about the Browns, Cavs, and Guardians written each day. That is a lot of content. However, this much info comes with a catch. Not every writer is trustworthy; clickbait is their preference. Meaning that they will occasionally post stories that aren’t true. Which is why I could not list them higher than third.

Next on my list is ESPN. Sportscenter has been a go to of mine since Keith Olbermann was a little wet behind the ear. Instead of the racist degenerate he has become lately. With the emergence of Stephen A. Smith, ESPN has managed to capture an entire new generation of fans. I would compare ESPN to McDonalds as far as influence. Indeed, the four-letter network has become the Godzilla of the metaverse, but this too has its drawbacks. Yes, they have great, educated, and well-connected columnists and they share plenty of newsworthy info without the need to deceive with clickbait. However, their focus has veered away from the intricacies of sports that separated them from the crowd once before. Therefore, they don’t allocate enough time and resources to smaller market teams which is why ESPN is ranked second on my list.

Which brings us to 92.3 the Fan. This network is full of douchebags who love to scream like they are god’s gift to Cleveland. Always pretending to be part of the culture of Cleveland but with terrible sports takes; instead of the hired guns they truly are. I am sure you are wondering what it is that I actually like about 92.3, it is their professionalism. No, not from the attention seeking host like Andy Baskin and Jonathan Peterlin. But the show’s producers are the geniuses who constantly line up some of the best sports writers as guests on the shows. The redeeming quality of that station is their effort to bring Cleveland relevant information.

Of course, there are other networks and news outlets who I appreciate that just missed the cut, like old school WKNR. This was a station that I listed two back in high school. Back then their shows were edgy and comical. Now they are like the wierdo at the party that no one wants around. They never evolved. Another place I that I like to check is SBNATION. This site is good for the occasional chuckle, but it must be a terribly slow news day for me to visit here.

This has been a pleasure letting you all into my world. I spend an exorbitant amount of time on my sports. In fact, I would bet anyone any amount of money that my family knows more about sports than the average fan. To put it succinctly, I am obsessed and since you read this, we must share a similar vice. Now go and subscribe to The Cleveland Blogger Guy, my Facebook.
